Market Expansion Manager – Canada
Description du poste
Aperçu
We’re not a bank — and we’re proud of it.
Otonom is a Montreal-based fintech that makes payment management less painful and way more efficient for real estate professionals. We simplify, automate, and accelerate thanks to a deep understanding of the industry’s reality.
We make it easy and efficient to collect rent/condo fees and pay suppliers — fully compatible with any property management system and all Canadian banks.
Responsabilités
After establishing a strong base in Quebec, we're ready to accelerate our growth across the rest of Canada. To do that, we’re looking for a strategic, self-driven, real estate-savvy individual — someone who knows the field, builds trust-based relationships, and can navigate complex sales cycles.
You will be responsible for building and executing our go-to-market and business development strategy across new territories, in close collaboration with leadership. Your role is key: you will be the one bringing our solution to life in regions where it is still unknown, with a highly personalized approach.
The problems we solve are always evolving. But if these sound familiar (and fun), you might be just the right person:
- Identifying the right segments, stakeholders, and market entry points by region
- Building strategic partnerships with property management firms, operators, or solution integrators
- Creating business opportunities through multi-channel outreach (LinkedIn, events, targeted messaging) and close them
- Participating in key industry events in PropTech and real estate
- Collaborating closely with marketing to develop market-relevant tools and content
- Structuring your pipeline, managing follow-ups, and closing strategic deals

Équipe
Compétences
- You’re entrepreneurial at heart, self-motivated, and always deliver on your promises. Having autonomy and impact drives you.
- You're a hustler and try every possible approach until you close (or lose) a deal.
- You’ve got a strong experience the real estate or property management industry, with a proven track record in growing SaaS products.
- You are able to adapt yourself to diverse regional business cultures (Quebec, Ontario, BC, etc.) and have a relationship-first mindset focused on problem-solving over pitching.
- You know how to turn business development ideas into action — building strategy, getting buy-in from leadership, and making things happen on the ground.
- You’re great in English — basically like a native. In French, you can get through a business convo just fine, even if you’re not 100% fluent.
